Through Little Moments
Childhood is made up of thousands of ordinary moments that quietly shape who our children become. My classes are community enrichment and parent education classes designed to help families make the most of those moments by combining play, connection, and practical education in a fun, welcoming environment. Every class is led by a pediatric occupational therapist and is intentionally created to support development while giving parents the knowledge and confidence to continue the learning at home. More than anything, I hope that each family leaves feeling encouraged, empowered, and reminded that every milestone, big or small, is part of a much bigger journey.

Sensory Story Time

Sensory Story Time is a playful, interactive experience designed by a pediatric occupational therapist to turn stories into opportunities for connection, movement, sensory exploration, and developmental play. Each month features a new developmental theme brought to life through a story, songs, hands-on activities, whole-body movement, and of course our giant parachute (we're still not sure whether the kids or grown-ups love that part more). Children participate alongside their parent, grandparent, nanny, or other caregiver, creating opportunities to learn, play, and connect together. Sensory Story Time is included with Paragon's Pre-K Open Gym which is $5/child. The Play Coop

The Play Coop is a family-centered experience designed for children of all ages and abilities to play, learn, grow, and connect alongside the people who care for them - parents, grandparents, nannies, and other caregivers are all welcome! Originally created with homeschool families in mind (but open to everyone!), each gathering features a new theme or hands-on experience with opportunities for every child to participate at their own developmental level, using their age abilities, and unique strengths to contribute. Whenever possible, we'll take our learning into nature, and when Kansas weather has other plans, we'll bring a little nature inside while working together on meaningful projects that may even give back to the community around us. At its heart, The Play Coop is about strengthening family connections, nurturing development through purposeful play, and showing children that everyone has something valuable to contribute. Each class will be $15 for the first child and $8 for each additional sibling, while parents/caregivers and siblings under 2 (with a paid sibling) participate FREE.

Special Events are where we get to mix things up! Throughout the year, From Crawling to Calling may pop up around the Manhattan/Junction City/Wamego/Fort Riley community for special Sensory Story Times, seasonal activities, community collaborations, and other unique opportunities for families to learn, play, move, and connect together. Each event may look a little different, but you can always expect developmentally thoughtful activities, plenty of hands-on fun, and opportunities to make meaningful memories with the children you love. Every little hand has a story to tell! At October's Play Coop, families will work side-by-side through creative, sensory, and hands-on play as we explore the joy of reading, storytelling, and sharing with others. Children of all ages and abilities can contribute at their own level as we create bookmarks, become little authors and illustrators, and leave our mark on a very special community lending library.
Together, we'll transform one little library into a gift for Manhattan, decorated by our children and filled with books, stories, and creations meant to be shared. Led by a pediatric occupational therapist, The Play Coop is a community enrichment experience designed to encourage purposeful play, connection, creativity, and meaningful participation for the whole family.

Class Registration
The greatest investment we can make is in the people we love most. Every class with From Calling to Crawling is just that, an investment in more than your child's development, but also in your confidence, connection, and the everyday moments that shape your family's story. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of that journey.
Payment and Refund Policy
Payment is required in full to reserve your child's spot and must be received before the start of class for your child to attend. Because class sizes are intentionally kept small to provide the best experience for every family and materials are purchased in advance, registrations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend due to illness or an unforeseen circumstance, a make-up class will be offered. Please reach out as soon as possible. As a mom of 3 littles, I understand that life with little ones can be unpredictable, and I'll do my best to work with you whenever possible.
